Connect is a small group ministry of Cross Connection Escondido.

The aim of Connect principally is to provide opportunity for the body of Cross Connection to connect with one another through Christ honoring community. Through these gatherings we seek to aid in the development of spiritual disciplines (simple bible reading, bible memory, prayer, fasting, fellowship, hospitality, service, etc.) by patterning them in the context of smaller, more intimate meetings.

Connect meetings may look different than home-fellowships you’ve attended in the past, which generally center around a Bible study. Connect meetings instead focus more on fellowship (practical sharing and caring for another), while engaging with the word of God in, what might be considered, non traditional ways (narrative bible discovery, simple bible reading, etc.).

Connect groups also aim at connecting the unchurched community with God through missional outreach (gospel demonstration). Gospel demonstration is the extending of God’s glory by words as well as deeds. Such deeds may be as simple as assisting an elderly neighbor with their grocery shopping or as complex as providing a summer Vacation Bible School program for your neighborhood.
